Rana el Kaliouby is a pioneer in Emotion AI, the technology that interprets human emotions from facial and vocal cues. She co-founded Affectiva, an MIT Media Lab spin-off, to develop AI systems that humanize technology. Now serving as Deputy CEO at Smart Eye following its acquisition of Affectiva in 2021, she continues scaling emotion AI for automotive, healthcare, and research applications.
