FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is AIDB?+

AIDB — the AI Database — is a neutral, wiki-style reference for the artificial intelligence (AI) industry. We catalog companies, models, products, and the people behind them, with sources cited for every factual claim.

Where does the data come from?+

Each profile is generated and periodically refreshed by a research agent built on the Anthropic Claude API with live web search. Citations are attached to the underlying claims, and you can press Refresh on any profile to re-run the agent against the latest news.

How is AIDB different from a typical AI directory?+

We try to read like IMDb crossed with Wikipedia: cross-linked entities, neutral tone, and a per-page citation trail. Numbers are labelled 'reported' (from a primary or major secondary source) or 'estimated' so you always know what you're looking at.

What do the freshness badges mean?+

Green means the profile was researched in the last 30 days. Amber is 30–90 days. Red is older than 90 days or never researched. You can refresh any profile yourself by pressing the Refresh button.

Where does the daily newsroom come from?+

An editorial agent picks five newsworthy stories each day, verifies them against primary sources, and writes a 400–600 word brief for each. The runs are visible in the admin queue, sources are attached to every post.

How do I subscribe?+

Use the subscribe form in the footer. You will receive the day's five briefs by email when the agent finishes its run.

Can I suggest a company or correction?+

Yes — email us, and the admin can trigger a Refresh against the entity to pull the latest sourced data. Manual overrides are also available in the admin queue.

Is AIDB an investment or business recommendation?+

No. AIDB is informational and editorial. Nothing here is investment, legal, or business advice.
