Daan Wierstra
Senior researcher in deep reinforcement learning and AI at google-deepmind
Dutch computer scientist and first research scientist hired at DeepMind in 2011, where he contributed to foundational work in deep reinforcement learning and generative modeling. He co-founded H, a Paris-based agentic AI company, in 2023 before departing in late 2024. Wierstra has authored influential papers on continuous-control deep learning and natural evolution strategies.
