Bioptimus builds universal foundation AI models for biology, integrating data across molecular to organismal scales to accelerate drug discovery and precision medicine. The company released H-Optimus-0, a foundational model for pathology trained on over 500,000 histopathology slides, with plans to launch M-Optimus, a multi-scale, multi-modal model simulating complex biological processes.
Shipped H-Optimus-0 in July 2024, outperforming Harvard Medical School and University of Leeds benchmarks in pathology and gene expression prediction. Series A $41M led by Cathay Innovation in January 2025, 9 months after initial $35M seed.
